CWCI asks Hun Sen’s government to show its stance on Preah Vihear issue

The Cambodia Watchdog Council International (CWCI) issued a declaration on Saturday, calling on the government of Cambodia to show a clear stance in the negotiation with Thailand on the Preah Vihear Temple issue which is complicated affair. The declaration was issued after it was learned that Thai prime minister Samak Sundaravej will visit Cambodia on 03 March, and he could raise the Preah Vihear Temple issue to discuss with Hun Sen. This declaration also called on civil society, Cambodian politicians, and the Cambodian public to participate in the protection of Preah Vihear Temple which is also a Cambodian cultural heritage
